Mask Portrait Series

The series is now completed with a total of 35 portraits. The only time they were displayed all together was January & February 2023 in Granite Falls at the K.K. Berge Gallery.

Krystl was a fiscal year 2021 recipient of a Creative Support for Individuals grant from the Minnesota State Arts Board. This activity is made possible by the voters of Minnesota through a grant from the Minnesota State Arts Board, thanks to a legislative appropriation by the Minnesota State Legislature; and by a grant from the National Endowment for the Arts.

PBS Postcards

I was featured on PBS Postcards for their 2024 season! The pictures below are all about the face painting filming, but I also worked on some portraits and comics, as well as did the interview portion, inside my home. I was so nervous to do it, but as everyone knows, the PBS team is awesome at their job and it went great! Thank you Dana for sharing these pictures with me! Brian-Paco’s Poems and Pacoian Rants #37 & #41

I collaborated with a fellow artist and friend on their zine (twice)! Brian-Paco is a poet and spoken word artist and he makes zines of his poems. He invited me to illustrate two of them for him. I seasonally switched out the pieces on exhibit in the On-Loan gallery in Marshall, MN from Winter 2020 to Spring 2022. The On-Loan Gallery closed when SMAC moved it’s location to Main Street in July of 2022.
